The magic begins in Guatemala, where the husband-and-wife team who lead Altiplano work with a co-op of Mayan people in Lake Atitlan. Lovingly crafted and working together, their work with Altiplano helps provide a positive future for their families. Each piece has a unique journey, from the hands of the makers to being chosen by the wearer as a creative and mutual form of self-expression. For 30 years, Altiplano has brought fair wages and long-term employment to the Mayan people they work with. Their continued regional partnerships support education, family nutrition, and the environment.
