Sari Twine (Assorted Colors)

Handspun twine made from recycled saris is excellent for weaving, crocheting, macrame, and other fiber crafting — use it as the weft in weaving! Made by cutting recycled saris into 15mm strips of cloth, then tightly twisting into a single strip of cloth to make a very strong, colorful, and pliable length of twine. It's very time-consuming but the end product is a fine one-of-a-kind length of recycled sari twine.

Made in Bangladesh by a fair trade women's co-op. Support for this project improves the artisans’ standard of living and provides necessary income for their families.

Approximately 27 yards, 1mm thick.

Each ball of sari twine is unique and will be chosen at random from the color assortment to fulfill your order.
