Jezyki Star Ornaments

Jeżyki are handcrafted tissue paper ornaments. Agnieszka Spieszny learned how to make this traditional Polish holiday craft from her grandfather and has since taught others. A few years ago, she taught a workshop at Craft Contemporary and recently started teaching this papercraft to a young refugee mother as a way to help create a job for her.

Each one is handmade in Los Angeles by this two-person team using tissue paper and thread. They are delicate but surprisingly sturdy and will last for years.

Jeżyki measure 3" in circumference and come in a 3.5" x 3.5" transparent plastic box.
