Firestar Earrings are a representation that captures the essence of the Chiapanecan stars. They feature a filigree applique that encapsulates the yellow shape of the Chiapanecan stars, standing out against a black background. The design is vibrant and intricate, with the central motif in red and yellow resembling a star or flower in flames. Not just an accessory, but a reminder that the light that shines even in the darkness symbolizing the hope and beauty found in our connection with the Universe.

These "threaded" or woven pieces have been created in collaboration with an artisan from the highlands of Chiapas, Mexico. The threads are made of cotton, and the technique used is called telar de cintura (backstrap loom). In this collection, Damar explores the significance of Chiapaneco weaving symbols, integrating them with the various forms and patterns found in silver filigree.

Post earrings made of sterling silver, woven cotton thread, and 950 sterling silver to achieve a fine filigree thread thicknesses.
