With their love of the Earth, Mother Nature, and the celestial skies, the designers of Damar Filigree have created these post earrings in the shape of an alluvial fan, the shape made by sand and earth transported and deposited through the motion of moving water, as in streams and rivers. A tiny circle at the top enhances the fan shape of this pure filigree design.

The filigree in Damar's work is done in Mompas, Colombia where the delicate threads of filigrana momposina are intertwined to form their intricate designs. This technique passed down through generations, is a testament to the skill and patience of the momposino artisans. Each piece of filigrana momposina is a work of art that reflects the rich biodiversity and landscapes of Mompos.

Post earrings made of sterling silver and 950 sterling silver to achieve fine filigree thread thicknesses.

0.75" wide x 0.625" long.
